Did Not Attend (DNA) / Late Cancellation Policy

If a patient fails to attend their appointment or provides less than 2 hours’ notice to cancel, a $50 fee will apply.
This fee must be paid before any further appointments can be booked.

Patient Records Policy

Macleay Island Medical Centre does not accept patient records on USB devices under any circumstances.
All incoming medical records must be provided in PDF, HTML, or XML format only.
Reception staff will not accept USBs.

Results Policy

Reception staff and nurses do not have access to your results and therefore cannot provide results.
Patients must book an appointment with their GP to discuss and obtain their test results.

Zero-Tolerance Behaviour Policy

Aggressive behaviour, threats, or swearing at staff will not be tolerated.
Any such behaviour will result in the patient being banned from the medical centre.

ADHD / Schedule 8 Medication & Psychotropic Drug Policy

Our practitioners do not diagnose ADHD or prescribe Schedule 8 medications or psychotropic drugs at the first appointment. It is up to the individual doctor if they will prescribe these medications to any patient at anytime.
These medications or assessments are only managed in conjunction with a treating specialist.
Drug-seeking behaviour will not be tolerated.
