A list of standard appointment fees for those without a Medicare card is available upon request from reception.

Patients should be aware that fees can apply, depending on the service or procedure.

Billing at Macleay Island Medical Centre

Macleay Island Medical Centre is a mixed billing practice. Consultation fees are determined at the doctor’s discretion and are based on the length and complexity of the appointment.

Please note that additional fees apply on top of time based item for iron infusions, charged at $85.

Additional fees may apply for pre-employment medicals, prolonged or complex dressings, and other time-based procedures. These costs are dependent on the materials required and the time involved. The doctor will advise reception of the applicable fee once the consultation is completed. 

It is our policy to be as transparent as possible when disclosing fees, and you’ll be advised at the time of booking if any services or procedures are unable to be billed via Medicare
